Ilaria Fiorentini is a post-doc fellow at the University of Bologna. She received her PhD at the University of Pavia. Her dissertation dealt with the borrowing of Italian discourse markers in a particular language contact situation (Dolomitic Ladin, Trentino South-Tyrol).
She has worked on Italian discourse markers both in monolingual and multilingual contexts.
Within the project, she investigates general extenders in contemporary Italian, focussing on patterns of variation and ongoing changes.
